The “base country” is the country from where the application/registration will be extended to the other countries.

• The base country must be a member of the Madrid System.
• The Trademark must be filed or registered in the base country, in order to be able to request the extension to the other countries.
• The applicant must have nationality, domicile or business incorporation in the base country.
